Postpartum depression is a clinical entity with symptoms that range from extreme fatigue to a more vague case of “postpartum blues.” For new moms who delivered, these vague but real symptoms can mean you sometimes may not interested in taking care of your baby. Dr. Keith Eddlesman, the head of obstetrics at Mt. Sinai Hospital, explains that postpartum depression has severe symptoms like panic attacks and insomnia. Both postpartum blues and depression are treatable with therapy and, most importantly, sharing your feelings with friends and family.
