When you want to define your eyes, the simplest, no-fail way is to push the color into your lash roots and avoid a traditional “line” completely. Use a black long-wear pencil, preferably with a slightly dull tip for comfort. To apply, look downward and lift your top lid with one hand, pushing  the pencil tip between your lash roots and in your upper water line. Now, in tiny strokes, fill the entire area so you see no skintone. Next close your eyes tightly to smush the color into your roots further and transfer just a trace of the color onto your lower waterlines. Fill in any gaps. Repeat on the other eye, and remember to squish eyes tightly! Finally, use a cotton swab to remove any smeary stuff below the eyes and even out the color along the waterline area. Ta-da!
