A recent study of buffet-navigation strategies found that skinnier people use a few tricks we could all put to use. They turn their backs on the buffet, which in the study resulted in an average of 2.3 trips back, as opposed to the 2.7 trips back for those with a clear view from their seats. Skinnier people also tend to survey the offerings before they commit and they’re eight times more likely to select a smaller plate.
