Guido is one of the world's most inventive and conceptual hairstylists, known for taking traditional styles and giving them a rebellious twist. Collaborating regularly with fashion photographers Steven Meisel and David Sims, Guido has shaped the world of fashion for the past twenty years along with designers, advertisers and editorial publications. Guido’s innovative work is featured regularly in Italian, French, British and American Vogue, Love, V, and W magazines.
Guido’s radically expressive styles are seen on the runways of such diverse fashion houses as Prada, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Lanvin, Alexander Wang, Calvin Klein, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Yves Saint Laurent, Ralph Lauren and Alexander McQueen. His first book, “Heads: Hair by Guido” was published to much acclaim in 2000 and features a decade of stunning head shots, a testament to hair as style's most defining signature.
In December 2009, Guido was included on the British Fashion Council's list of 25 Most Powerful People in the Fashion Industry–a list that also included Alexander McQueen, Nick Knight and Kate Moss.
Beyond creating inspirational hairstyles, Guido’s passion lies in the psychology and emotion behind hair, and in celebrating the beauty within everyone.
“There is no such thing as right or wrong hair,” he says. “The ‘right’ hairstyle is the one that makes you feel beautiful—whatever that style may be.”
