1Green Light Your Face

“I prefer emerald green close to the face to exude glamour—silky emerald blouses and jewelry are my favorite way to wear this trend,” says designer Ashley Turen of A. Turen, a label known for its rocker-meets-feminine aesthetic. This statement necklace drapes elegantly over the décolletage, while the emerald studs enliven any skintone.

3The Emerald Eyelids

Brighter is better when it comes to emerald eyeshadow, notes celebrity makeup artist Andrew Sotomayor. “Be sure to buy a richly pigmented product, and apply an eye primer before using it or else dull color looks muddy,” he adds. Make Up For Ever’s cream eyeshadow version is graphic, waterproof and won’t budge.

4Walk the (Green) Line

Afraid to go green? Don’t be. “It doesn’t matter what your eye color or skintone is, it’s about wearing a pop of fabulous color on your eyes,” explains Sotomayor. “Try a thin metallic or glittery eyeliner along the upper lashline,” he suggests. Stila’s marker-like eyeliner point glides easily along skin for smooth pigment that resists feathering and smudging.

Emerald shoes should be the highlight of your outfit. “Pair it with brown or black pants with a neutral top and a statement necklace or earrings with a hint of emerald to pull the whole look together,” advises Turen. OKA B’s eco-friendly flats are made with post-recyclable materials that look brand sparkling new.

6The Skinny on Emerald

“I would stay far away from anything red when wearing emerald to avoid looking like a Christmas tree!” says Turen. Try pairing green skinny jeans with a nude top and shoes for an approachably casual take on the opulent color.
