What to expect: A series of 26 poses (including standing, one-legged balancing, and seated), that are performed twice over the course of 90 minutes. The catch? The room is heated to over 100 degrees Farenheight.

Who should try it: Students who love a good sweat, thrive on predictability and standardization, and are ready for an intense mental and physical challenge.

The details: While little clinical research exists so far, the Bikram Yoga Center of NYC claims that Bikram yoga may relieve discomfort associated with diabetes, arthritis, thyroid disorders and obesity, and may reduce stress and increase circulation. Anecdotal evidence from regular practitioners includes improved energy, mood and mental clarity, as well as better sleep.
