Ayurveda at Parkschlosschen in Traben-Trarbach, Germany
One of the most intense weight loss programs in Europe, this luxury hotel can get you to shed weight in the double digits. Some guests have lost 16 to 18 pounds on Ayurveda at Parkschlosschen’s two-week deep detox program—a fierce cleanse that ends the day with liquids or a vegetable plate. If you’re less hardcore, there are programs that allow you to actually chew all of your (gourmet Ayurvedic) meals. Thankfully, the spa’s top-notch treatments, including their signature four-hand oil massage, help take your mind off cheeseburgers and fries.
The seven-day anti-stress program starts at €2,810 (about $3,823) for a single room, including full board Ayurveda, use of the indoor thermal swimming pool, sauna, fitness room, Internet, and participation in all daily yoga and exercise programs.

This celebrity favorite doesn’t bill itself as a weight loss spa, but you’d be hard-pressed not to shed a few pounds during your visit. Fresh cuisine is plucked from the on-site organic garden and the resort has a reputation for fantastic gluten-free fare. Bonus: Coconuts and a straw seem to magically appear the moment you break a sweat. Strenuous hikes, diving, paddle-boarding and tennis torch some serious calories, and sore muscles are soothed at the Breeze Spa, where massage tables are situated next to an oceanfront pool.
Weekly rates start at $1,900 for a garden view bure.
