Glitter, glitter, everywhere! From party frocks and accessories to eye shadow and lip gloss, it seems that nothing is spared from sparkle this time of the year. “Don’t be intimidated,” says fashion expert Mary Alice Stephenson, who has styled First Lady Michelle Obama, celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker and Halle Berry and whose advice has landed in the glossy pages of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. “I love me some sequins! Sequins can rejuvenate your wardrobe and shine up your style in a fun, feminine way no matter how old you are. To avoid looking cheap, the key is to keep it simple and sleek.”
