While America has gone soft with reality TV shows like “MasterChef Junior,” Norway is breaking ground with a series about unsafe working conditions and the lack of living wages in the garment industry.

A new series called “Sweatshop Deadly Fashion” puts (attractive, young, white) faces to the global tragedy of shoddily-regulated factories in the developing world. In the exploitatively-named new series, fashion bloggers Frida, Ludvig, and Anniken live and work in a sweatshop in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

As Refinery29 points out, the trio is exposed to low wages, long working hours, and insufficient living conditions — daily occurances of millions of workers employed in sweatshops. All three cry in the trailer.

The first five episodes are available on Aftenposten with English subtitles.
