Awards season 2015 soldiers on with the Westminster Kennel Club annual dog show. They’re dogs, but they’re basically celebrities now. Fur is kind of like hair. And what’s the point of an awards show if we don’t learn how we should look afterwards? Here’s our guide to recreating the “best in show” looks from the 139th annual dog show.

The buzzword here is, of course, volume. Next time you wash, use a volumizing shampoo and apply conditioner to the ends only. Don’t let heavy conditioner weigh down your Chow Chow look! For the black tongue, we recommend Haribo Black Licorice Wheels, $19.50 for a five lb. bag.

Barry the Komondor’s beachy waves are easy to replicate at home with a simple texurizing product. Split towel-dried hair into sections, and apply a product like Suave Professionals’ Sea Mineral Infusion Texturizing Sea Spray evenly from root to tip. When your hair is dry and wavy, run down to the water and bark at some seagulls.

Ah, side bangs. A noble choice, this look is not for the faint of heart. Rumor has it the Skye Terrier here has a personal bangs-only hair stylist for his daily trims. If you can’t afford that kind of upkeep, our advice is to avoid this dark road at all costs.

Franz’s smooth ‘do is just as simple as it is classic. Flatiron the whole head, then use a curling iron for a fun 1950s inner curl on the ends. Hot tools can be rough on the hair, so treat yourself with a good scratch.

Ask your stylist for a full-body ombre.

The hound group models this season’s hottest nude polishes for the mani cam. You’re looking at the three hottest faces of the “no-makeup makeup” trend. Try Essie’s Cashmere Matte Polish to replicate their style.
