Every few years, a diet trend makes waves across our culture. Atkin’s Diet, South Beach Diet, Weight Watchers, and the Zone – just to name a few. The market is heavily saturated, so whenever one manages to breakout in popularity among the rest, it doesn’t hurt to check it out. The big one stirring up a lot of talk lately is the Ketogenic diet, also known as the Keto diet.

This is a high – fat, low carbohydrate diet used in the medical world to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy children. It pretty much works by forcing the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates.

It works so well, even celebrities are jumping on the Keto band wagon.

Celebs using this diet include:

Halle Berry: Because Halle Berry is diabetic, she takes the food she eats very seriously. She posted on her Instagram that she’s been following the keto or ketogenic diet for years.

LeBron James: Determined to bring a championship to Cleveland, LeBron dedicated himself to a 3 month Paleo and Keto diet.

Megan Fox: Thanks to the keto diet, Megan looks amazing after three kids. She’s been on this diet for so long that, at this point, she is repulsed by the sight of bread.

Kourtney Kardashian: After having three kids, Kourtney Kardashian is now in the best shape of her life, and she shares how she practices a low-carb, high-fat diet.

The ketogenic diet is meant to be practiced as a lifestyle, and that is why these celebrities are all for the hype around it.
