With last month’s article “To Fall in Love With Anyone, Do This,” The New York Times challenged the world to answer the 36 questions that would scientists agreed would certainly lead to love. People ran all over asking one another for their most terrible memory, all in the service of finding a soulmate. The article also posed a subtle challenge for the entrepreneurs among us: Is there a way to profit off this?

Anthony David Adams says “yes.” He created an app called The Love Game: A Game for Falling on Love that walks users through the 36 questions; the mobile app was downloaded 200,000 times in just two days. Now, as The Frisky reports, Adams is looking to make a real-life card game (a la Cards Against Humanity) that mimics the app.

He’s launched an IndieGoGo campaign for the cards, which promise to “get the person you’re playing with to fall in love with you, deeper & faster” and help you “find out if someone is or isn’t your soulmate.” One member of a couple bragged, “During ‘The Love Game’ J. and I said I love you to each other for the first time. Amazing!” Mark Zuckerburg even “Liked” the game on Facebook. Amazing.

You’ll get one box for $15. That’s the same price as the movie ticket for when they inevitably turn this story into a romantic comedy. (And by way of comparison, Cards of Humanity, the boring person’s party card game, is $25.) Adams is about halfway through to his $5,000 goal with 15 days left before the campaign ends on March 5th.

But if saying “I love you” for the first time during a cardgame does not appeal to you, the original 36 questions from ‘The Love Game’ are also free online.
