Skin Recipe: Mathilde Thomas's Sugar-Honey-Oil Body Scrub

Sweeten up your night with a super-moisturizing sugar scrub.

We’ve been bitten by the sugar scrub bug and love the idea that with a few simple ingredients, you can make your own delicious version at home, whenever the spa urge strikes.

“The rounded edges of the brown sugar granules will rub off dead skin cells and are softer and less abrasive than a salt scrub,” explains Mathilde Thomas, founder of skincare line Caudalie. “The honey will nourish, while the oil moisturizes.”

DIY Beauty Recipes Honey

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup grapeseed or olive oil

1 cup honey

Blend brown sugar, oil (grapeseed oil is best, but olive oil works as well) and honey in a microwavable bowl. Warm the mixture slightly, for about 20 seconds in the microwave. Then apply it to your entire body before showering. Massage the ingredients into the skin, focusing on rough spots like elbows and knees. Rinse thoroughly in the shower.
