Got a pimple but fresh out of zit cream? No problem. Sonya Dakar’s famous acne treatment, which uses yeast, can be made at home in a mere three minutes. Best of all, this stuff really works.

“Studies have shown yeast can improve acne,” explains Dakar. “Components in yeast, such as B vitamins, riboflavin, pantothenic acid and biotin help to get rid of acne and balance the skin. I add lemon juice to the mix because it has natural anti-septic qualities and is key in drying out a breakout.”

Ingredients:

1 packet yeast

1 lemon, juiced

Water

Pour yeast into a bowl and add water one drop at a time (approximately one teaspoon of water). Mix well after each drop until the mixture turns to a medium paste. Then add a drop or two of lemon juice to the paste, and keep stirring until the juice is blended in. Dab the paste on your breakouts (but be sure to give it time to dry before hiding under the covers).
