Pineapple is not just for tasty summer cocktails. “It contains bromelain, an enzyme that helps remove dead skin cells and cleanse the pores, which makes it an excellent exfoliate,” advises Rousseau. It also contains anti-inflammatory properties that can calm inflamed or irritated skin (bye bye, blemishes). And, because pineapple is rich in vitamin C, this cleanser can boost that delightful anti-aging collagen formation in our skin.

Ingredients:

5 large pineapple chunks

2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil or extra virgin coconut oil

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients together in a blender until smooth. Apply to the face in the evening and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Rinse well and pat dry.
