New workouts pop up every day, and wouldn’t it be nice to try before you buy? In our Last Night’s Workout series we sweat, stretch and shimmy our way through the latest exercise crazes and report back to you so you can find the best one for your skill level and fitness goals. The Workout: Founded by celebrity trainer, Anna Kaiser in 2013, AKT InMotion isn’t just any old trendy workout: It’s a heart-pounding, sweat-producing, exhilarating workout for anyone looking to melt fat away while having fun. The class is essentially a hybrid of dance choreography, strength training, and flexibility drills. As the class progresses, you build upon the choreography with extremely high energy moves, keeping your heart rate up for the entire class. If you’re nervous about being able to follow choreography, don’t be. Much of it is very easy and targeted for a cardio workout, not necessarily to look sexy or fluid. Expect a lot of jumping jacks-esque moves, high kicks, and spins across the floor are incorporated, making your calves burn from all the jumps and turns. Not only is this workout perfect for a kick-butt cardio workout, bit resistance bands are used to work out shoulders, arms, butt and legs, really working all the major muscle groups.Broken up into segments, you’re never doing choreography or strength training long enough to get bored of it. With the routine constantly changing, you’re forced to pay attention and truly give your all to each move. This workout is great for anyone looking for a fun, full body workout set to fast-paced music in an intimate studio.

Anna Kaiser – Happy Hour from Emily Parr on Vimeo. The Goal: Built from the belief that pain and boredom are the two biggest enemies of a workout routine, Kaiser said in a press release that “the only way to sustain true fitness is to feel you’re growing, achieving, and moving toward something bigger.” AKT InMotion claims to be trend- and torture-free, as Kaiser believes that masochistic workouts that are extremely difficult are hard to sustain over time. The Location: We tried the studio on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, but other studio in SoHo in Manhattan; New Canaan, Connecticut; and Sag Harbor on Long Island. For those of you outside these areas,  Kaiser just launched a DVD, “Happy Hour,” so that anyone can experience AKT in the comfort of your own home. The Price: AKT InMotion offers a single 60-minute class for $37, and a 90-minute one for $45. However, if you love it, a few class packages are available for you to choose from to save a few bucks per class. You can also order the DVD for $24.99.READMORE: The 10 Most Popular Workouts of 2014
