At YouBeauty, Aaron develops strategic approaches to optimize profitability and maximize shareholder value, and makes sure the staff doesn't blow the budget on ponies and diamond tiaras.
Angelica Catalano – Editorial Assistant
Angelica began writing as a Seventeen intern and New Moon Girls freelancer. Exploring Human Development at Cornell University, Angelica dreamt of sharing health and wellbeing research with women everywhere—then came YouBeauty! Here she's up for any task, from keeping Larabars stocked to polishing the best you-enhancing content to hit the web. She thinks treating others (and your bod) kindly is a beauty secret that needs to get out, stat!
Courtney Dunlop - Senior Editor
Courtney's love for beauty runs deep, starting first with a B.S. in Cosmetics & Fragrance Marketing from F.I.T. She's since been a beauty editor for both Jane and Marie Claire magazines, and has written for magazines such as Self, Allure and Real Simple. At YouBeauty, Courtney writes and edits, spreads the gospel of sunscreen, red lipstick and Exhale Core Fusion (her beauty trifecta), and lends a skeptical eye to every "breakthrough" product that comes through the door.
Daniel Cho - Graphic Designer
Hitting his 6th year as a graphic designer, Daniel joins the YouBeauty team to share his expertise in enhancing traffic, user experience, and on-line sales through web design. Additionally, he will be collaborating with top-notch developers and product managers to blend functionality with aesthetics to create one awesome looking and one very helpful health and beauty site. His personal interests include chess, piano, and boxing.
Danielle Ryniker – Vice President of Sales
With over 10 years of digital marketing and advertising sales experience, Danielle joins YouBeauty from CBS Interactive where she oversaw East Coast Sales for the Games Division. In her current role, she is responsible for advertising and sponsorship revenue. An avid runner, city dweller and world traveler, Danielle is always up for new challenges. She's currently mastering the sport of stand up paddleboarding (while covered in sunblock, of course!).
Eric Galperin - Senior Software Engineer
Eric earned a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from New York University. He has been in the technology field for over 8 years, six of which as a software engineer. Eric started as a technical support/quality assurance engineer he worked his way up to being a senior software engineer. He worked at both small startups and large companies, including some contract work with NBC Universal. In his spare time Eric likes to read and draw. These two passions can be seen in his love for comics.
Jason Burfield - Director of Technology
Jason leads the technical development for YouBeauty. Prior to YouBeauty Jason was Founder and Vice President of Application Design of PhotoShelter as well as Founder and tech-guy for SportsShooter.com and Altpick.com. In a prior life Jason was a photographer and still enjoys photography today, mostly making images of his son. Jason keeps his skin beautiful with frequent mud baths while racing his motorcycle in the East Coast Enduro Series.
Joseph Chi Lin - Photo Editor/Designer
Joseph Chi Lin has worked as a photo editor for Time.com and People.com. He originally studied architecture before realizing that he treasured his sleep and sanity too much to become an architect. Consequently, he finished his education with a B.F.A. in Photography from the Pratt Institute and a M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University. As a photographer, his work has been published in TIME, The New York Times and more. He also likes rice.
Laura Kenney - Editor in Chief
Laura has 12 years in beauty under her belt, as an editor at Seventeen, Sephora and AOL's StyleList.com and a writer for magazines like Elle, Marie Claire and Parenting. A science geek at heart, Laura has a B.S. in nutrition from Cornell University. Her obsession with the science of beauty led Laura to YouBeauty, where she oversees content, downs dark chocolate (a proven stress reducer!) and pages through the journal Cutis with a relish previously reserved for September Vogue.
Nadia Goodman – Assistant Research Editor
Nadia has a B.A. in English from Northwestern University and an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University. Her nerd crush on science writers (*cough* Jonah Lehrer), love of cool data, and conviction that beauty can be empowering led her to YouBeauty, where she mans the research section and confirms any science-y claims. She loves dancing to trashy pop music and has a mildly troubling fruit addiction.
Oren Weichselbaum - Senior Software Engineer
Oren has a vast expertise and interest in both technology and media. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Syracuse University he pursued a Masters in Music Technology from New York University. Prior to YouBeauty, Oren was the Media Producer and Web Developer at Freelancers Union. He also enjoys composing music and video editing for independent film and social media projects. Oren also has a knack for grabbing items from tall, hard to reach places.
Peter Goody - Product Manager
Peter is on the product team at YouBeauty. Prior to YouBeauty Peter spent the last five years in the mobile advertising space where he helped agencies and publishers implement their mobile ad strategies. Originally from Upstate New York, Peter graduated from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Peter has recently started running to combat his love of food and has completed two marathons to date.
Steven Lindseth - Chief Executive Officer
Steve co-founded YouBeauty with Drs. Michael Roizen and Mehmet Oz. A serial entrepreneur, he has a 30-year career of starting and building companies in healthcare, technology and consumer products. Being disruptive in school may be bad, but it's not in business. Steve is slightly OCD in finding a new and better way, and using our desire to be beautiful inside and out as a driver of health is a whopper too good to ignore. Steve also serves as a board member and advisor to many early stage companies, as well as for the Cleveland Clinic in its innovations and licensing area.
Stuart Bogaty - Chief Marketing Officer
Stuart has spent his career in senior marketing roles at TrueAction, Ogilvy & Mather, Mindshare, Universal McCann, Grey, and Saatchi amongst others. He has managed multimillion-dollar accounts for Fortune 500 clients including Toys R Us, Aeropostale, Johnson & Johnson, Intel, Brown Forman, IBM, Cisco, Yahoo and SAP. A 22-year media veteran with 17+ years in the interactive advertising community, he has been instrumental in pushing forward and championing many industry wide initiatives in the digital media space. He serves on advisory boards for DijiPop, Undertone Networks, and Omnitrail Technologies amongst others. He also sits of the Board of Directors for the Social Media Advertising Consortium. Now that he is in the wellness business, he will quickly need to start exercising before he becomes the office poster child for what not to do!
Tushar Tanna – Chief Product Officer
Tushar oversees product design and development for YouBeauty. Prior to YouBeauty Tushar co-founded ecomii.com, a leading online destination for information about healthy green living. Prior to ecomii, Tushar served as the V.P. of Product Management at WebMD.com, where he worked on a wide range of products across WebMD. Tushar was named as an inventor on a patent filed by WebMD in relation to the WebMD Symptom Checker entitled "Method and System for Generating Personalized Health Information with Accommodations for Consumer Health Terminology."
