Eyeliner looks too heavy on my droopy eyes (especially black). How can I line my eyes so they don’t look too “done?”

Black liner can look severe, and it can accentuate heavy lids. Try using a rich, medium-dark brown shadow that can be used wet or dry (some shadows are especially formulated to be used this way) instead of liner. Using it wet will give you a denser application. Apply it this way closest to the lashes, in a very thin line, so it's pushed right into the lash line. Then use the same shadow dry to softly blend the color upwards onto the lid. This way you get definition at the lash line, but it's softer than traditional liner.

I'm all about smoky brown eyeliner and using the blending tip to really grind the pigment into my lashline.

I love Fiona's tip. I had to get dolled up over the weekend for a wedding and used this palette from Smashbox: http://www.smashbox.com/SOFTBOX-EYE-SHADOW-PALETTE The colors are really, really beautiful and soft so it's pretty hard to overdo it. I used the pink color all over my whole eye up to the brow. Then I used the taupe-y one called Flirt just on my lids and into the crease. And then I used a flat liner brush to line my upper and lower lashes with the darker gray/taupe color called Truffle. I must say, it came out really nice and I didn't look overdone, even though it I used three different shadows.

Tightline your upper water line. Use either a dark brown or a black, but don't line your lower lashline unless you have a peach liner.

You should try to have brown eyeliner, it looks almost natural but at the same time makes you look better(:

line them with black and then thin it out with a Qtip. If that isn't enough, put a little shimmer in the corners of your eyes and a dab in the middle of your eyelid to open your eyes more, there is also the option of brown eyeliner, personally i use brown most of the time and black for nights out.
