Hexapeptide Effectiveness in Skincare

What a wonderful site--good stuff! Question for the experts--Can you expound for me from your Choosing Skincare Products article your background info as to why hexapaptides are ineffective in penetration and not advised with skincare products. I appreciate it!

    Whether it's a hexapeptide, a pentapeptide or an oligopeptide, these molecules are way too big to slip through the epidermis, which is a very powerful and effective barrier. So even if they are added to a moisturizer, they're not going to have any underlying effect.
