Hey! Why doesn't your mom like the idea? You should take into account what she thinks, they're wiser and worry about their children. Anyways, some moms just don't like anything...

I have a friend who is 21, and her bf is 34. Her ex is 35...She always tells me that she has learned a lot about life with them..and I am not talking about sex. You just have to know him very well before making any choice, since many men are experts in fooling women and conceal the fact that they're doing it. Make sure that he's actually a nice guy.

Personally I think that if age does not matter to you, then what's the issue?? My dad is 8 years older than my mom and they have a very steady marriage. Personally I like men maximun 5 years older than me. So, it is your choice. But you should also talk to your mom in a mature and calm way and tell her what you feel. She may be a great help, you just need to use the right tone and let her know that you appreciate what she thinks.

Thanks for the constructive advice, i will talk to her about it and see how it goes, as for him i will be careful not to fall into any deceitful traps and then we'll take it from there.

Good Grief...ten years difference is ok, if the younger person is mature enough to handle the experienced one. The (20) year old has yet some things to learn about life. A younger person may not want to be tied down. The older man sees life somewhat different than his partner. So therefore I say be careful.  Life is not always a fairy tale as some young people may think..Sslow your role, date a little closer to your age.
