I'm only a teenager and I don't understand why my chest has gotten so big. I'm not skinny, but I'm not fat either. I'm pretty average in my weight. When they finally stop growing, I was wondering what I could do to make them smaller? Its like torture for a poor shy girl like me. People are always staring and I could really use some help!
Having had large breasts for my size my entire life (I'm currently 45 years old, 5'5", 130# and a 32 H ~ in high school I weighed about 110# and was a 32 DD), I can honestly tell you I have had a "love/hate" relationship with my breasts. They have always been an object of attention....which has not always been pleasant. Over the years I've had to overcome objectivication (Hey! My eyes are up here!), and speculation (are they real?), but I can also really rock a great dress!!
I realize, especially with today's skimpy fashions (not a lot out there for us big busted gals) and active lifestyles, that your breasts can be "annoying". But if surgery is not for you (never was for me!!), my suggestion is go get fitted BY A PROFESSIONAL at a reputable store specializing in bras(NOT Victoria's Secret) ~ a few great fitting bras will change your life! Learn what styles look good on you!! Since you probably HAVE to wear a bra, stick with tops with some sort of sleeve. V necks look great as do dresses and tops with a defined or ruched waist. Avoid horizontal stripes, cable knits and crew necks. Stay fit! A well toned chest and arms will save you as you get older as will keeping your weight down. And learn to love your body!! There are perks to being curvy!
However, if you start having issues with your back/shoulders/neck, you may want to consider a reduction (when you're older). I have a few friends who have had the surgery and though there is some scarring, they've all been happy with the results! Good luck!
Talking about reduction ,yes i would love to vut my doctor is against this method but i say its my life my back my big lol business but he won t listen so i tried to deal with it ,i am not a teenager but i was big chest to when i was young i did not mind but after my second daughter i suffer from it ,so my advice is your stil young if you are healthy tried to deal with it ,and when you get older maybe then should think about reduction ,remember this people spent so much money too get them to show I say there crazy its not that great ,but thats my opinion lol if they could reduce them next to a b cup i would be un heaven ,well good luck ,hope it help you make a decision for me i think to young to soon ,have a great day
I'm right there with you, meaning being in my teens. But I have always been overweight because of my genes. So I had to start wearing a bra in 1st grade. I have thought about reduction but I realized that my breast are part of me, they make me who I am and I am not going to get rid of them. Ya they can be a big pain because I hav ealways had to get tops and dresses a size bigger than I really am and not being able to wear all the new styles because of the low neckline. But its your decision, you have to decide if you are happy with your body or not.
omg i totally have the same prob, i just choose to look at it differently lol. im 13, 5"2 and 115lbs. at school i have the biggest boobs out of the ppl my age and the only time its annoying is when im doing sports which is like a major part of my life. one thing that helps me is to dress the body you have and this changes everything. i dont think you should try make them smaller cuz well there r a lot of ppl paying major cash to get wat you have. occasionally when i talk to guys ya i have to make them look at my eyes but at least im not in the "itty bitty titty comitee"
Wow , you r not alone on this, i have the same problem, but i have learnt to deal with it, take good care of them , they r part of u. i wear lots of sport bras, my problem is that my back is pretty small and narrow, and my breast take all over my chest, it is hard to find clothes u can fit from top to bottom, cuz when i buy a dress size M it ll fit my hips, but not my breats, i would need a size L , to be able to fit them in......but i stared going to more expensive stores and boutiques and the clothes are cut differently and they fit a whole lot better.....i only buy my bras at Lane Bryant even thou i'm a small girl, but with big pair of girls..lol.. good luck
