17 Day Diet? Anyone tried it?

I read a review on WebMD about this diet and it says it just a gimmicky name for a low calorie diet. LOL!

The true success of any diet plan is not when one just loses weight, but keeps it off with a plan they can stick with for life. If you are only successful for 17 days, that 's not really a success story; But if those 17 days teach you how to make a lasting lifestyle change with healthy eating and exercise, then it's a legitimate plan.

How long has your friend kept her weight off? Did she go back to her old eating habits after losing the weight? Did she maintain her weight loss and became a healthier eater? Those are the questions to ask.

I went on the 17 Day Diet a year ago May 1. I lost 30 lbs. on the diet and have made significant life style changes based on what I learned there. No it is not 17 days, it is 4 cycles of 17 days, each one builds on the previous. This was the ONLY diet that worked for me and I have not gained the weight back. If you keep living and eating by the basic principles of the diet, you can enjoy your forbidden foods when you need them but can keep the basics as your daily lifestyle. When I go out to dinner, I order differently than I did when I was overweight and our daily meals are MUCH healthier. I thought the 17 Day Diet was a great diet, FOR ME!!
