I use leave in conditioner. I have very curly hair and if I don't have some kind of lotion in my hair, I have a dry fluffy mess. I am going to try Wen. I have been using the Wen products on my daughters hair for 3 weeks and it has really helped with her tight curls. I put a texturizer (mild relaxer) in her hair in June so it would be manageable for the summer, because heat and sweat makes her hair hard to comb, I might not need to do it this year because of how soft Wen has made her hair.

Frizz is typically caused by a lack of moisture. Try using a more moisturizing rinse out conditioner and use a leave in conditioner. If you have a Sally's Beauty Supply, GVP The Conditioning Balm (the generic version of Biolage Conditioning Balm) is wonderful. I also have curly hair and this conditioner is my daily go to. If you want to learn how to handle your curls, go to www.livecurlylivefree.com www.curlwizard.com and finally www.naturallycurly.com There's a ton of great hair care info and how to treat your curls. Some other helpful tips Use a micro fiber towel or an old cotton tshirt to dry your hair. Terry cloth will rough up the cuticle and frizz your hair. Scrunch curls to dry them instead of rubbing your scalp with a towel. Only comb your hair in the shower, while your hair is full of conditioner. Use a wide tooth comb or a pick. Applying styling products when your hair is soaking wet. Keep a spray bottle with water nearby so that if your hair gets even a little dry, you can wet it again.

Some of the advice given here is pretty good. I think they all will help with your frizzy hair. Have you ever tried Moroccanoil or Argan Oil? They are very popular now, and everybody has given these items great reviews. Personally I use the argan oil. I apply after I wash my hair, comb it, then leave it alone to dry, and find that it helps with the frizz, my hair is soft, and also my hair smells really nice for it. i think it will really help you so you can show off your curls and not have to straighten your hair all the time. checkout the reviews for the products if you like. oh i got my bottle from thebeautyplace.com. pretty good price.

I have very bushy course hair. There are 2 new products out there now that I love. Once is Clean and Clear...I use the moisturing one since my hair is dry. You use both the shampoo and the conditioner. It works starting with the scalp and has vitamins in it. The other one is from L'Oreal and is called a conditioning cleanser (similar to the Wen product but not the price). It is 3/4 conditioner and 1/4 shampoo (I think that is correct). They both work great in my hair. In the past, anything I used would weigh it down and it would look like it needed to be washed. These do not. I trade off on them so that I don't get a build-up and it has been working great. It would not hurt to try them and see how they work.

I totally agree with crimsonshedemo above.  I have thick (but fine) curly hair and I've been following the 'Curly Girl' technique for about 15 months now. (you can google and read about it).  The frizz issue is all about moisture - specifically moisture loss.  Individual hairs are comprised of cuticles that would look similar to shingles on a roof if you looked at a hair under a microscope.  On straight hair the cuticles lay nice and flat like you see on a roof.  On curly hair they stand straight out because your hair is reaching into its surrounding environment for needed moisture.  The cuticles that stand out are what causes the frizziness.  Silicones, sulfates, parabens, alcohol,  make the problem worse because they coat the hairshaft - therefore stopping the hair from absorbing moisture.  Be careful what you coat your hair with. READ THE LABEL!  LOOK FOR BOTANICALS!  And I would recommend that you don't use any heat on your hair - or at least not often at all.  I am a big believer in using the non-foaming conditioning cleansers instead of shampoo and only do this once or twice a week (yes they really do get your hair clean and make your hair smell awesome!)  You see Wen conditioning cleanser advertised a lot and I have no doubt that it is excellent - but it's expensive.  I use "Hair One" hair cleanser and conditioner for curly hair.  I buy it at Sally Beauty Supply and it smells heavenly.  I also use the L'Oreal EverCreme Cleansing Conditioner product that's fairly new on the market and it's great too. In between cleasing use a good quality conditioner in the shower (I like Renpure Organics for everyday conditioning).  When out of the shower use a microfiber towel and apply a leave-in conditioner.  Never use a brush in your hair - only a wide tooth comb in the shower and be very gentle.  Your hair won't change overnight.  But it will slowly get better.  One last thing.......if you want to refresh your curls in the morning without having to redo all of your work - make yourself some lavendar water and put it in a large spray bottle.  Even take a small spray bottle in your purse or to your workplace.  Bring a couple of quarts of water just to a boil and turn off.  Next add about a teaspoon of 100% lavendar oil.  Cool.  Add to your spray bottles.  Spray as often as needed to reshape and refresh your curls.  Added bonus is that you'll refresh the smell of your hair!

    Enjoy being a CURLY GIRL!

    1. Take a mixing bowl

    2. Add 2 tea spoon of Olive oil into it (Olive oil gives softness and shine to your hair)

    3. Add 2 tea spoon of Almond oil

    4. Add 2 tea spoon of Custard oil

    5. Heat the bowl for few seconds

    6. Apply the mixture on your scalp and hair..Massage your scalp.. (Do not apply it hot hot...! If it is hot just keep it while for sometime..let it gets warm..then apply)

Next day morning half an hour before the hair wash, do the below steps:

    7. In a bowl mix 4 tea spoon of curd, 2 tea spoon of almond oil and 1 tea spoon of custard oil. Stir the mixture and then apply on your scalp..massage it and apply the remaining on your hair.

After hair wash, touch your hair and you can feel the softness that you have never felt before... :) Njoy with your shiny hair.
