I was born really hairy, a trait I inherited from my mother. She said that I shouldn't bother taking them off because she lost hers after she gave birth. But I don't want to wait that long to show off my hairless legs and arms. I tried shaving before without using any shaving cream because they cost too much but the hair immediately grew back after 2-3 days and they grew thicker. Another problem is that I have open pores. After shaving, I can see dots on my skin which are actually my pores. Help me guys, I want to know how to shave these hair, safely, beautifully, but not costly :))

Have you tried lathering up your soap to act as a shaving cream? Body gels may be gentler on your skin, too. This way it serves more than one purpose! If you don't want to use up a lot of your soap, you can shave up to your knees instead of your thighs.

i used to worry about the same thing, a have thick dark hair on my arms, legs and upper lip area. I works best for me on my arms is alternating between using Nads No heat hair removal hair wax (a little goes a long way). Once hair grow out enough that I cannot ignore, I then use Jolen bleaching cream to bleach my arm hair, (I lighten it just enough to same color as my skin, not lighter and my arm hair is under control enough that I am not embarrassed about it. My legs, I just shave every couple of days in the shower with my body soap. I buy the Gillette Mach 3 disposable jetable big package of men's disposable razors at Costco, they will last you at least 6 mos, if not a year because they are high quality that you can use several times. Hope this helps you. I too have thick hair so bigger pores, but id don't think anybody notices except me. Also something that might help you to keep in mind is that there are many girls around the world that would love to have thick beautiful hair like yours and can't no matter what they do:) fyi-your hair does not grow thicker after shaving, it just appears that way because the end that is growing back was cut off when shaved, at a straight angle.

Using your hair conditioner works as a shaving base as well. I would say waxing it would last you 3 to 6 weeks. It's a bit expensive but it last longer than shaving. If you keep up your hair will grow in finer and evenly less will grow back sometimes not even at all.

I agree. I would also make sure what's in the bar of soap so you don't lose any moisture on your skin after shaving.

um.. waxing would be a good idea but in the end whatever you do your hairs will still grow back (unfourtanetly)shaving also works but maybe you can find a hair removal product on a near drugstore

I shave my legs, when im in the shower, and yes it doesnt last very long but its a quick fix when im in the mood to wear a dress or capris.  and its ok to just shave till your knees if you dont feel like going all the way up your leg.  I have a shower gel with exfoliating beads so that helps to keep my legs smooth and then to keep them soft i just lather them with an oil when i get out of the shower.  For my arms and underarms, i go to a professional to wax.  I wish i could wax at home since it can get costly, but atleast it lasts for 3 weeks.  For my face (lip, chin, sides and eyebrows) i get those threaded.  Threading doesnt hurt that much and the results last for a couple weeks.

    Good Luck!
