Has anyone tried Moroccan oil for their hair? I've been hearing good things about it, but didn't know what brand to try and is it worth the price? I'd love some input!

Thanks!

Are you talking about the brand name product or Argan oil? Moroccan oil (the brand name stuff) is supposed to be really good, but I looked at the ingredients and it has a bunch of silicones just like many other hair serums. From what I know, silicones give hair that silky feeling, but it can build up in your hair. If you want the true benefits of the "morrocan oil", it might be better to get 100% argan oil instead. It can be pricey, but you are getting the real stuff at least. Many products that say that they contain argan oil really only have small amounts of it. I was told that the first 3 or 4 ingredients on a product list usually makes up about 75% of the product! I'm not sure where the argan oil falls on the ingredient list on the Morroccan oil serums, but if it doesn't fall within the top three ingredients you might not be getting what you pay for it. I have 100% argan oil and I put small amounts of it in my hair and I love it! It has lasted me a while because I often dilute it with other carrier oils like grapeseed oil or olive oil, which are also really beneficial to your scalp!

I use argon oil on my hair and my face. I actually just had my hair dresser tell me to use it on my hair sparingly (and only when it's dry) as to not wash out my color. I do use it on my face every single night, and I've noticed a huge difference in the texture and reduction of my wrinkles. Hope this helps!

I've been recommened Moroccan Oil numorous times at the Hairdressers and i've used it once while being there. Since I have very curly thick hair they thought it would be great for it, but after putting it through my hair it made my head very itchy and was unbearable for a few days. This is just my experience, i may be illergic to some of the ingredients. I wouldnt try using it again. The brand would just be the ones they have at the hairdressers.

I have tried Moroccan oil brand, Sally Beauty store Argean oil, and pure argean oil and I like the pure argean oil. it costs much more than the others but you dont have to deal with all the extra chemicals. I'm a redhead with type 3a/b and a little 3c mixed in curly hair. I have found for me a Very Little(2-3 drops) goes a Very Long Way otherwise it makes my hair greesy heavy and multipul washes with cleaning shampoo to get it out. I do mix a little in with a deep conditioner and rince out for extra conditioning. I LOVE pure coconut oil, for hair and skin just use it sparingly also (I get mine at sunflower market and only costs $5-$7 for a large jar). My sister who has supper fine straight hair prefers the Aegean oil and hates the coconut oil. I hope this helps

I use the moroccanoil curl creme for my thick, curly hair and it's the best product I've ever used! It controls my curls and frizz without any crunchiness like gel.

Its a great product. Just because you hear great things doesn't mean try them. The oils are ment for certain purpose. What are you looking for your hair to do that it doesn't.Hair dresser recommended products by density, hair structure and the style your looking to achieve / end results.

I have used MoroccanOil's argan oil.  I loved it because it doesnt weigh down your hair.  It gives your hair a ton of sheen with just a drop.  I would highly recommend it as a finishing oil.

I use Moroccan Oil daily and I love it! It is pretty pricey but it last a long time because you don't use very much! I f you use too much your hair will look oily and gross. Just used a nickle size on your hair when it is wet. It also makes your hair dry faster with the oil on it.
