Are women more competitive than they are eager to help each other?

In the documentary "Miss Representation," mentoring is one suggestion for increasing women's support of each another. Do you agree that women can help each other succeed in this way? Do you have a mentor or are you one? How do you inspire others and yourself?

  I have a female Sgt who looks out for us junior enlisted females, since there are so few of us, and she is always there to listen to us, encourage us, and help us. She's not only strong of body, but she's strong of mind and soul. She inspires me everyday to be better than I am now. In my opinion, we need more mentors like her, someone smart and willing to show us the right direction. Hopefully, if I stay in the military long enough, I can do the same for other junior enlisted females someday. Does this answer your Qs? XD Haha.

  I am the mentor. Many of my friends (male AND female) respect my age and wisdom and ask for my opinion on issues. I try to inspire others and be worthy of that inspiration.
