Have you been to a doctor to have your thyroid levels checked? An imbalanced thyroid can cause these issues. Also, since your hair is thinning, it's worth getting checked for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCS). Thinning hair (at such a young age) is one of the symptoms of PCS. It might also be worth talking to a doctor about trying a gluten-free diet to see if that helps.

HI MY NAME IS LANA A 33YR OLD FEMALE I CAN ALMOST EXACTLY RELATE TO YOUR TIRED ISSUES, IT MAKES ME SO ANGRY WHEN I GET A DECENT AMOUNT OF SLEEP AND I STILL FEEL EXAUHSTED ALL DAY, ITS PATHETIC. BUT I JUST GOT PUT ON PHENTERMINE AND VITAMIN B12 WHICH IS HELPING SLIGHTLY BUT NOT ENOUGH TO WHERE I FEEL SATISFIED. ALOT OF PEOPLE SAY IT MAY BE BECAUSE IM A VEGATARIAN BUT I REALLY DONT KNOW. I DRINK PROTEIN FIBER SHAKES IN THE MORNING AND DO THE GYM A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK. AS I JUST STARTED THE DIET ENERGY PILL AND VITAMIN B12 I MAY NOT BE SEEING FULL RESULTS YET SO I WILL KEEP ALL INFORMED

Hi! I have polycystic ovary syndrome which was diagnosed through various ultrasounds when I was 15 (I'm 21 now). Surprisingly, my hormones appear normal on all blood tests ever since, except for a slightly larger amount of testosterone than the normal standard. However, I have always presented the symptoms associated with the syndrome: loss of menstrual cycle (even if I'm 5 lbs overweight) thinning hair and hair loss, body acne, weight gain and dark body hair on places like my back or thighs. I was told by doctors that it's not convenient for me to have surgically removed the cysts, and that the only treatment I can have are oral contraceptives (ethinylestradiol and cyproterone) which I have been taking since the diagnosis. Other than the regular menstrual cycle I get when I'm under treatment, I don't see any major improvements on the rest of the symptoms. Is there any other known treatment? Does food have to do with this? Am I receiving the appropriate medication or shall I opt for the surgery in spite of doctors' opinion?
