I was just wondering, how would you achieve complete peace with yourself, when you have a skin disease? It's not an every day question,I know, but It's certainly something to be asked. (Also- is anyone else having an issue getting the "Next question" buttons working on the quizes?)

I have dermatographia, a skin condition where essentially whenever I press too harshly or scratch my skin, I get really bad hives. I take antihistamines every day, which relieves the hives, however I'm left with embarrassing red marks with every light scratch on my body regardless of my medication. People have varied reaction: some are very concerned when they see these marks, others are grossed out, and some will express disgust or annoyance at my scratching and hives when I forget to take my pill. Friends will draw or write on me for their own entertainment, which is unpleasant. I've learned to embrace this, as my condition may be permanent. I have come to realize this is something that is out of my control, its just how my body works. I embrace it the same way I've learned to embrace my big nose and my tiny teeth. It's part of who I am, but I don't let it define me.
