I used to find that I only wanted to date older men. For some odd reason men younger than me just did not seem appealing. Ironically I am now in love with a man that is younger (only 1 year) than I am.I now know where this attraction to older men developed.
Not to sound strange but I grew up in a household of six children all raised by a single mother. My father was a foggy memory during my childhood. What I do remember is that the time we spent together was a lot of fun. In my teenage years I found myself attracted to men 5+ years older than I was.
Now that I am an adult I have a full understanding of why I had this persistent need to be with older men. It was the wanted to have a person be a pseudo father figure. This is not to say that you are having the same experience and/or feelings that I had. You could just be a sophisticated diva that enjoys the company of a well seasoned man.
With all that said. If you are above 18 years of age you are free to love and be attracted to whomever tickles your fancy. On the other hand if you are a minor I would be very careful as to how 'old' of a person you choose to date. Most states have laws that protect minors from engaging in such behavior.
