i chose that questions because when i was in high schooll i only had to pass to get my diploma by having all of my credits. which was 22 or 26 credits. now our kids today take this test and fell 1 or 2 of 5 and this will keep them back from not only recieving their diploma to walk the stage with their classmates but for them to lose their scholarships. why is that when the teachers themselves cant even pass the ogt test themselves and they are teaching our kids. can we take that test out or have the teachers and state board take it too but if they fell it can their jobs be taken away like our kids future.

The teachers most likely went through the same things if they failed, and some how they went past that and got their education. Yes, it's not fair that our kids future can suffer, but many people go through the same thing and overcome it.. Also, the teachers (depending on their age) most likely had different circumstances, so why should they have to go through another situation just because children have failed? Everyone goes through tests and everyone does differently, no matter how hard the test, unless everyone has failed you need to question the state board not the teachers, because certain tests, such as a test for the state is created by the state borad not the teachers... And yes some scholarships are taken away, because a college doesn't want to give a scholarship to someone who failed an important state test. I agree with you on the fairness, but including the teachers in the situation is a valid solution.

i thank you for responding to my question. unfortunitelyl  for some teachers they shodldnt have to suffer. have you heard the saying of all teachers dont know how to teachajust like all parents dont know how to parent a childvren. howeverl the ones in fault to this messed up situations is the state the teachers and the parents. i say the state because some of them or all dont have kids or kids in the school system. they dont want to risk their money being taken away. second the teachers due to their jobs are on the line too due to kids not passing this ogt test so they either drop out early or just lose what they worked for of their 12 years in school. third i say parents because some just dont enough or at all to see what and how their kids doing in school be

some parents just might want better for kids but with some losing their jobs and also home just as well as their kids too due to the word depression its hard on the parents. so in conclusion it would be nice if as said that the teachers and parents can go against the state together  so we can fight the teachers to keep their job for the ones that can teach sorry to say and so the parents can see their child succeed in something that a few of them was not able to do themselves due to raising their kids. we as parents do want best for ours and more of what is expecting of them.  without the students itself it would not be parents nor teachers.

Seeing as the OGT is the one of the easiest tests ever made, I don't think you should worry too much about it. And I doubt teachers would fail it if they had to take it. If a student  can't pass the OGT, then they probably weren't racking up too many scholarships to begin with.

hello. thanks for your reply. i like to state of what ws said on the radio and in the news papers that some teachers were given the ogt test and it was said through resources the the teachers did fail the ogt test itself. i dont put information out their of what was not heard. now as i said if all come to together as a whole~the teachers and their union board, the parents and their kids, and even the state people behind that high expensive price table. the system need to focus on getting books and other things needed to educate our children more so tha the kids can have something to fall back on to help them pass this test~but like i said the state is set up for failure of the kids today anyway~so they can vote themselves to getting a bigger raise. some kids do what is expected of them through it all to pass any test given, so like i stated by resources of if teachers cant pass the ogt even with their degree then the kids that fail it should still be able to recieve their diplomas and earned scholarship through the grades and credits they earned and worked very hard for.  as for the kids who have parents that pay their kids way out of any bad situation unfortunitely dont have to worry about it~as that saying "money talks" thats what some kids work hard for to get to get what everyone has to worry no more~money.
