She already had her own television show, but as the writer and star of Judd Apatow-produced potential blockbuster “Trainwreck,” comedian Amy Schumer has access to a whole new world. That’s good news for fans of her honest material. The fashion blog Styleite shared this clip of Schumer ripping into Hollywood’s criticism of her body on Comedy Central’s “Night of Too Many Stars.”

Schumer joked, “I’m really glad this show is in New York, I just found out I’m too disgusting for LA.”

Of course, what’s more LA than playing the lead role in your own film? But Schumer says she didn’t think she would get cast in her own movie. She jokes to the audience, “They were like, ‘We want you to be in the movie but stop eating.'” They got her “Megan Fox’s personal trainer” so she would be in top shape for the film. The only problem is that he also put her on a diet that involved… hunger.

Is there anything more relateable than her reponse?: “I’ve never been the girl who’s been like ‘I forgot to have lunch today.'”

Schumer is no stranger to body-shaming, even from the media. One critic from Hollywood Elsewhere referred to her as “chubby, whipsmart, not conventionally attractive” when the first “Trainwreck” trailer launched. Let’s hope even he watches this clip and learns something about women’s body confidence.
