The rumors are true, Natalie Portman is going to playing the first onscreen female Thor!

The news was released at this years Comic-Con held in San Diego this past weekend. Marvel President Kevin Feige discussed the fourth Thor film, which will be called Thor: Love and Thunder. Ragnarok director Taika Waititi will direct it.

In addition to announcing the title of the film, Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, and Tessa Thompson greeted fans greeted by surprise. Talk about a pleasant surprise.

The studio is bringing back Portman into the Thor franchise as Thor’s former flame in the fourth movie, in addition to becoming Thor herself. She was Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World and made a brief comeback in Avengers: Endgame, but hasn’t made an appearance in any Marvel movies since. What’s a better comeback than playing the first-ever female Thor the Marvel world has ever seen? The Goddess of Thunder is quite the title to hold.

The movie is coming out in theaters on November 2021, and we will be patiently waiting for Portman’s big reveal for the time being.
