You might assume that all stars get along just as well offscreen as they do on screen. And while many celebrity friendships do start from starring in the same show or movie together, many of those friendships are strictly for show. It’s definitely upsetting to find out that your favorite on-screen relationships are just that: on-screen. It might be heartbreaking to find out, but these stars don’t get along offscreen:

Ariana Grande & Victoria Justice
Unfortunately, Tori and Cat’s hilarious friendship in Victorious wasn’t actually real. In reality, Victoria Justice and Ariana Grande (who play Tori and Cat respectively) didn’t have such a funny, close relationship in real life.

Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey
Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey were both judges on the 12th season of American Idol. Their disagreements were pretty apparent from the start. Neither appeared on the show again after the season.

Sarah Jessica Parker & Kim Cattrall
Yeah, it definitely hurt to find out Carrie and Sam weren’t actually BFFs in real life. The Sex and the City stars started off close. Still, they ended up drifting throughout the show, ultimately leading to the reason why there was never a third movie made.

Blake Lively & Leighton Meester
Another one I just can’t bring myself to believe is true. You can’t tell me S & B aren’t actually best friends. Unfortunately, it’s true- Blake Lively and Leighton Meester, who played best friends Serena and Blair on Gossip Girl, aren’t close offscreen.

Will Smith & Janet Hubert
There’s a reason why the role of Aunt Viv changed actresses after the third season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Janet Hubert and Will Smith didn’t get along.

Lea Michele & Naya Rivera
I guess there was just as much drama offscreen as there was on screen for these Glee stars. Lea Michele and Naya Rivera, who played Rachel and Santana respectively, apparently fought frequently offscreen.
