Need a reason to pick up a coffee on your way to the gym? Combining caffeine and exercise might ward off skin cancer and help prevent inflammation. In one study, mice given a mix of caffeine and exercise on the wheel reduced the volume of their tumors, and developed fewer of them. (Note: In mice.)

Caffeine and exercise also reduced inflammation by as much as 90 percent. Inflammation has been linked to disease and wrinkles, so until there’s more research, this might be a reason to try an anti-inflammatory diet: Fewer refined carbs and trans fats, but more vegetables and omega-3s!
