Nothing says the summer more than a good barbecue. I don’t know about you, but all I’ve wanted to do this summer is grill. Maybe it’s because I’m spending so much of my time at home and I’m trying to find new ways to keep busy, but I just think a barbecue is the perfect summer activity.

Although a barbecue traditionally means hamburgers and hotdogs, there are definitely more creative and healthy ways you can grill. Impress your friends and family with these delicious foods for your next barbecue feast:

Grilled cauliflower steak
For all you plant-based eaters out there who still want to at least pretend like you’re eating steak, a grilled cauliflower is the way to go. Enjoy it as a side or as your main dish!

Grilled romaine lettuce
If you thought romaine lettuce was just for salads…think again. Try grilling your romaine lettuce with a herb vinaigrette for a delicious and healthy side dish.

Grilled flatbread pizza
Who said grilling was just for hamburgers? You can grill anything… even pizza! Spice up your pizza night by doing it on the grill and making this flatbread pizza.

Grilled peaches
Grilled peaches are just simply the perfect summer dessert. They get super soft and caramel-y and taste great topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Grilled halloumi
If you’ve never tried grilled halloumi, I suggest you run to the grocery store ASAP. Halloumi is a delicious and light cheese with a high melting point, so it cooks perfectly.

Grilled avocado
Have a bunch of avocados and don’t know what to do with them? Easy, throw them on the grill! Grilling your avocados makes them extra creamy and adds a great smokey flavor.

Grilled vegetable skewer
A colorful and delicious vegetable skewer is a must-have for a summer BBQ. Even the people who claim they don’t like vegetables will like this.

Grilled salmon
This grilled salmon recipe is perfect for those who don’t eat meat but still want something hearty for dinner. It only takes 15 minutes to grill and tastes delicious.

Grilled portobello burger
Another alternative to a traditional hamburger is just a grilled portobello mushroom. Just marinate the mushroom, throw on the grill, and top with cheese, lettuce, and tomato for a mock cheeseburger.

Grilled corn
Another BBQ necessity is corn. But why eat corn plain when you can have it grilled? Grilled corn on the cob makes it extra tender, and you can top with butter, cheese, or whatever you like!
