Beauty-on-demand service Glamsquad has raised a $7 million round of venture capital funding to bring their expand their home booking service, according to Fashionista. Glamsquad’s users can book blowouts, makeup and other services in their own home or office through a mobile app or on its web site. At-home services range from $50 for a blowout to $85 and up for an updo, plus tip.Glamsquad had already raised $2 million in funding (bringing new meaning to the phrase “you look like a million bucks) but new funding will help to expand the company past its current offerings in New York and LA. The company will expand first in Miami, followed by other cities nationwide, according to TechCrunch. With Gilt Groupe co-founder Alexandra Wilkis Wilson on board as new CEO, the on-demand service is looking like the next Uber — but way hotter.
