The following DIY Avocado Mask recipe courtesy of Indie Lee is great to incorporate into your daily routine simply because it’s easy and gentle on the skin.
With a powerhouse of ingredients, this face mask will not only give you a glow, but it’ll help smooth your skin. Avocados are jampacked with proteins and natural oils, making them perfect for maintaining moisture and elasticity, while the lactic acid in the Greek Yogurt acts as a mild exfoliant to dissolve away dead skin cells. The coconut oil cleans and hydrates the skin, while the matcha powder detoxifies and removes toxins that can lead to premature aging. The next time you have a few minutes to yourself, whip up this mask and take a few minutes to relax, your skin will thank you!
INDIE LEE’S AVOCADO FACE MASK:
- ¼ avocado
- 1 tbsp. organic greek yogurt
- ½ tsp. matcha powder (green tea)
- 1 tbsp. organic coconut oil
1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
2. Apply immediately to clean skin, avoiding eye area.
3. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes.
4. Rinse face with warm water and pat dry.
