With the 2019 year quickly coming to a close, we can’t help but feel nostalgic.

A lot has happened this past year: we lost a few notable figures but gained many memorable presences. We had many, many laughs, coupled with an equal amount of cries.

But nothing can summarize the past year better than Alicia Keys recapping 2019 with a six-minute song.

In an episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden, Alicia Keys hilariously went through the past year’s highs and lows. The episode actually lacked James Corden himself, making it the first all-female episode of the show.

She mentioned the infamous Fyre Festival that happened earlier this year that resulted in the famous meme, the unexpected appearance of a Starbucks cup in a Game of Thrones episode, and the start of Disney+. She might have even brought up how “Aunt Becky paid off a ton of schools” … yikes.

Between the ups and downs of the past year, Alicia Keys made sure to make a point that women made huge strides this year (hello, Hot Girl Summer- all year long).

In addition to the hilariously amazing song recap, Alicia Keys also talked to Billie Eilish and Ali Wong on the episode. To see those conversations and more of Alicia’s highlights from 2019, check out the video yourself- we promise you won’t regret it.
