Just about everyone fell in love with To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before when it came out in 2018. The movie is based off the novel series of the same name and thankfully, it includes two more books so we can keep on falling in love with Lara Jean and Peter for the next few years.

The sequel, P.S. I Still Love You, is due to come out on Netflix in February 2020 and we’re finally getting a glimpse at what we can expect.

On Thursday, Netflix revealed the long-awaited photos that show Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) now happily in love. But… there’s a bit of a loop thrown into the mix.

While one photo shows Lara Jean and Peter happily releasing paper lanterns into the sky with their initials scribbled on top in a heart, another photo shows Lara Jean mid dance with John Ambrose McClaren (Jordan Fisher), a childhood friend. While the moment between the two looks romantic, we can’t really tell what exactly is happening just from the one photo.

If you’re confused who John was in the first movie, that’s because we only saw him at the very end when he finally showed up at Lara Jean’s doorstep after receiving her last love letter. Although we do know for sure that Jordan Fisher is going to have a bigger part in this movie, we’re not sure how far their relationship will go.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Lana revealed that Lara Jean and John are “true friends”.

“But because you can love your friend very much, you get confused.” She revealed in the interview. “You’re like, ‘Do I love him or do I love him as a friend?’ So he’s really there to mix it up.”

It looks like Lara Jean might be just as confused about her friendship with John as we are. Guess we’ll have to wait until Feb. 12 to find out, but until then- at least we have these photos: http://www.mtv.com/news/3149119/to-all-the-boys-ps-i-still-love-you-photos/
