Could you BE any more excited about the Friends reunion?!

Yes- the rumor is true, everybody’s favorite friend group is coming back together again. Friends is officially having a reunion special on HBO Max. We’re not sure exactly when the show will premiere, but HBO Max is launching in May, so we’re hoping Friends comes with it.

Nothing warms our hearts more than seeing the Friends gang hanging out in real life, but seeing them together on TV is a whole other level. The famous show is celebrating its 25th anniversary, making this the perfect time for a special.

So- what do we know so far? The reunion will include all six of the Friends cast and will be filmed at the Warner Bros. studio lot, which is where the original series was filmed. Which means we better be seeing lots of Central Perk (and Gunther, hopefully) with the reunion. We also know that the cast is going to be bringing in big bucks and are reported to be making $2.5 million- $3 million for the special. Ben Winston is the director of the special, along with the Friends executive producers Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane. The cast will also executive produce the special.

“Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together- we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library,” Kevin Reilly, who is the chief content officer of HBO Max, said about the special.

I don’t know about you, but I’m just excited to hear the iconic Friends theme song one more time.
