Omega-6 oil: Although our bodies need omega-6 and omega-3, they should be consumed in moderation. Omega-6 is highly inflammatory and can trigger chronic disease. Avoid items such as canola, cottonseed, grapeseed and safflower oil.

Soda: A recent study showed that even a soda here and there can cause inflammatory markers in the body.

Deli meat: Deli meats such as turkey, ham and bologna contain more glycation end products than any other meats. This causes inflammation in the body.
