Exciting health news for those of who live in the Mediterranean – or just eat like we do. It turns out that the delicious diet also decreases your chances of diabetes. The diet is based in olive oil, nuts, fish, beans, fruits and vegetables, plus minor alcohol consumption and few dairy products. A new study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine showed that a Mediterranean diet supplemented with olive oil led to a forty percent reduction in diabetes risk. You can now feel free to add olive oil – as long as it’s atop a fish or veggie!
