Green tea may be the unsung hero we don't think to consider. Green tea has been shown to have the highest content of polyphenols (chemicals with potent antioxidant properties).
Green tea even gives black tea a run for its money, since green tea leaves are young and haven’t been oxidized. The young leaves contain more polyphenols, about a third of the caffeine and amazingly still offer the same level of energy and attentiveness. Just don’t drink it with milk—the casein in milk can inhibit the benefits all together.
