Whenever I choose a new mascara, I generally avoid ones with plastic wands. They always tend to make my lashes look clumpy and piecey, instead of the smooth, fluttery volume I get from ones with regular brush fibers. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the L’Oréal Paris Butterfly Intenza mascara and it made my lashes look long, full, and most importantly, evenly coated.

Product: L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Intenza Mascara

Price: $9

We Think:

How It Looks, How It Feels: The brush head is skinny at the tip and then wings out on each side (hence the butterfly name), creating the perfect angle to hit lashes on both the inside and outside at once.

How to Use It: Apply using one wing on one eye, and then the other for the second. I applied two coats on each eye.

Results: Not only does the brush angle make it really easy to hit all lashes at once, but the tiny fibers in the brush separate and comb your lashes as they are coated in mascara, leaving them perfectly spaced and fanned out. Plus, the wand picks up just the right amount of product, since the bristles are small and separated. No clumps in sight, just long, pristine lashes.

Disclaimer: I received this L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Intenza Mascara as a sample.
