good morning, I'm 42yrs.. Old about 5'9 and I just weight myself this week and I'm 225lbs. I joined the gym two weeks ago and I can only get there about three times a week. I started walking the treadmill for an half hour and than continue to work on the other workout stations for 20reps. A piece My question is, will I see results from the way I'm working out?

    Working out three days a week is great. We all lead busy lives and if a workout doesn't fit, it's the first thing to go out the window, so setting manageable goals is key. You can also build more activity into your daily life, which can really help. Try parking farther away, taking the stairs instead of the elevator--anything you can do to increase the number of steps you take in a day. Your body will benefit from increased activity no matter what, but whether or not you'll see weight loss results depends on your eating habits. Focus on eating homemade foods with lots of whole grains, protein, fruits and vegetables. There's no need to try to diet (dieting usually backfires), just focus on eating moderate portions of high-nutrient foods. You will see results--just getting to the gym three times a week will improve your mood and energy throughout the day.

    I am not a doctor, neither a weight loss consultant but i am dieting for at least 5 years. i followed many diets created by professionals and went to gym but nothing really helped. i never had too much extra weight , just 6-10 kg more. So i dont want to say i m sure it s gonna help those who struggle to lose much weight, but here is what i do and i see effect very quickly. lately i lost 10 kgs in 3 months. i eat 3 times a day. small meals , that contain fat from 0.1 g to 0.4 g i eat apples and grapefruit (mostly grapefruit juice at least 2ce a day- not the ones sold in stores, with suger and stuff, i made it myself natural with grapefruits.) NEVER eat after 6 in the evening, just drink green tea with no sugar. Drink a lot of water ! reduce coffee, sugar, meat, milk, cheese etc unless they are with reduced fat. if you need more details , you can contact me i ll be glad to share all of them with you. i hope it helps a little :) good luck!

    oh yes and i also dance sometimes for 15 mins at home, :) i guess this also helps :)

    I think you should try, intervals, on the tredmill. put the incline 5. speed 3 and walk for 2 mins swicth! each time put the speed on 5 and run for 1 min. do this for 30 mins you will burn about 300 cals. this is a good cardio work out!
