Every season delivers a dose of new beauty trends, products, and influencers who can’t stop posting about them. This summer, we see a big push toward eco-friendly and holistically based formulas. Gone are ‘War and Peace’ sized ingredients lists. Instead, we see pronounceable active ingredients that work to enhance natural beauty.

As someone who actively gets mistaken for a teenager by a 13-year-old despite being 32 (she’s not tall enough to see those few forehead lines), I’m proud to share my finds this season!

1Biossance – Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream

This jar is deceptive on first sight! It looks unbearably thick when you first open the lid, but as soon as you dab a bit of the peachy hued cream under your eyes, it absorbs nearly instantly. The vegan and the cruelty-free formula is more akin to a gel, going on smooth and providing unbelievable hydration! The marine algae extract promises to reduce the appearance of fine lines in as little as seven days, and so far, so good on our end.

2Together Beauty – Black Bird Shampoo

If you’re into beauty, you’ve probably heard of a rice water rinse for the hair to add shine and body. This shampoo contains all the benefits of black rice without extra work in the kitchen. If you have dark hair and you’re looking to keep it glossy and deep, this is the product for you. It gets rid of brassiness and keeps your locks vibrant on the dark end of the spectrum.

3Josie Maran – Argan Bright Skin Vitamin C Serum

It might feel a little thick and tacky at first drop, but don’t be fooled, this oil absorbs quickly and leaves skin feeling super soft! If you’re looking to incorporate vitamin C into your skincare routine, choosing a serum is one of the best options since it absorbs and stays on your skin. Apply it in the mornings for extra protection against radicals throughout the day.

4Natasha Denona – Chroma Crystal Liquid Eyeshadow

These shadows are no joke! They not only sparkle like the New Year’s Eve ball, but they have some significant staying power. It took me four tries to get these glistening hues off. The golden shades blend gorgeously but make sure to do it when the shadow is still wet on the lids.

5Youth To The People – Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner

Not going to lie, this toner has a slightly weird smell. No pain no gain, right? And luckily, the scent is subtle, so it goes away fairly quickly. Since the 11% AHA is a bit high, start with using this toner slowly and every few days. The glow is undeniable.

6Dl.Md DL.MD – Liquid Multi-Vitamin Supplement

Regular vitamins and gummies have about a 20% absorption rate. This liquid multi-vitamin has a 98% absorption rate, which means a little goes a long way. It contains 100% daily recommended dose of biotin so that you can get shiny hair and nails with as little as one teaspoon of this berry-flavored formula a day!

7Moroccanoil – Destination Hydrate Travel Kit

I don’t travel anywhere without this kit! The travel size Moroccanoil is a staple for my fine but frizzy strands. While the shampoo is a take it or leave it product for me, I always make sure to pack the conditioner in the cute aqua travel bag.

8Mount Lai – De-Puffing Jade Eye Treatment Tool

Almost too pretty to use! The wonderfully cooling and shiny smooth jade encourages de-puffing and helps massage serums and eye cream into the delicate eye area. Use it mornings and evenings, or any time you need a little pick me up!

9Fenty Beauty By Rihanna FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna – Pro Filt’r Mattifying Primer

A little goes a long way with this primer. The blue agave extract aids with mattifying skin naturally while the blurring powder reduces the appearance of pores. The lightweight texture glides on smoothly and dries reasonably quickly, creating the perfect canvas for foundation.

10Edible Beauty – & Sleeping Beauty Purifying Mousse – Pink Clay Sleep Mask

Don’t get fooled by the clay in the name. This formula comes as a pink mousse that feels extra hydrating thanks to the Australian pink clay and avocado oil. If you’re prone to breakouts, using this mask a few times a week reduces flare-ups as the pink clay purifies overnight. Not to mention it smells incredible and leaves skin super soft in the morning!

11WANDER BEAUTY – Glow Ahead Illuminating Face Oil

Not only does this oil smell great, but the light-diffusing particles make the face glow instantly! If you’re prone to dryness, this is the oil for you. The oil locks in moisture and keeps the skin hydrated throughout the day. Put it under your makeup in the morning for a glow kick.

12Dr. Jart+ – Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist

This calming mist is excellent to use as a toner. It sprays on fairly dense, so one to two spritzes on clean skin is more than enough. If your skin is very sensitive, be aware that it does contain bergamot and lavender oils.
