“If you have a warmer skintone [meaning, your skin’s got golden hints], choose a berry color with more red hues. This complements your skintone—think more of a black cherry or a pinky red raspberry,” she says. “If you have a cooler skintone [more reddish hues], choose a berry with more blue undertones. You don’t want your skintone and lip color to compete with one another, you want them to complement. Think, black raspberry or a plum shade.”
