When you’re in your 20s, there’s still a constant nagging worry about breakouts, but as you head into your 30s, those worries transform from breakouts to fine lines. Because there isn’t much information out there about how to reduce and prevent fine lines when in your 20s and 30s, many women make the mistakes that bring them on. Here are some guidelines to follow to help prevent the appearance of fine lines:

Sunscreen: The #1 thing to consider when preventing fine lines is sunscreen. Wearing sunscreen regularly will reduce the damaging effects from the sun.

Eat Omega-3 Rich Foods: Foods such as avocados, walnutse and hemp seeds are high in Omega-3 fatty acids, which is good for the skin. These foods help reduce inflammation and regenerate the cell membrane.

Always Remove Makeup: Remove makeup every night before you go to bed. That way it doesn’t settle into the skin and cause breakouts.

Drink Water: Behind sunscreen, drinking plenty of water is the most important thing you can do for your skin. It will help your skin stay soft, subtle and dewy.

Stay Away from Anti-aging products: While young, you don’t need to wear a lot of anti aging products. The extra moisturizer will only make the skin oily. Instead, opt for products that contain hyaluronic acid, and retinols. They stimulate collagen.

Get Plenty of Foods with Anti-Oxidants: Eat plenty of foods with antioxidants such as berries.
