There’s no denying that The Bachelor brings you on an emotional rollercoaster. You might end up loving the contestant you initially hated. You might end up not even liking who the actual bachelor is at all. The show is no stranger to plot twists and turns, and more often than not, do the bachelor and the final rose winner actually end up together. We had high hopes for this season with Pilot Peter Weber, but sure enough, the season finale was anything but steady.

Throughout the whole season, it seemed like Peter was all over the place with his emotions, and towards the end, he was all “Madison, wait no, Hannah Ann, wait no, Madison.” Peter’s season was challenging to get through at times, but not ending up with the final contestant is common. These are the other Bachelors’ couples who broke up quicker than we could’ve imagined:

Peter Weber and Madison Prewett

Not only did Peter not end up with the original final rose winner, Hannah Ann Sluss, but he also didn’t end up with his Madison. After admitting he still had feelings for Madison after proposing to Hannah Ann, Peter and Madison briefly dated and claimed they were in love on the “After the Final Rose” show. That love came to a quick close, however, after they both revealed they broke up just a few days after the show.

Arie Luyendyk, Jr. and Becca Kufrin

This one almost has Peter beat- almost. Bachelor Arie and final rose winner Becca were engaged for just a few months before Arie went back on his word and instead confessed his love for runner-up Lauren Burnham. A major Peter Weber move, if you ask me. But fortunately, Arie and Lauren are still married and have a daughter, and Becca became the Bachelorette and is now happily engaged.

Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff

Although people had high hopes for this couple, the pair was only together for a couple of months before breaking up the May following Chris’s season.

Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson

Another couple that we can at least say gave it their all is Ben Flajnik and Courtney Robertson. Their season aired in 2012, and the couple broke up while the show was airing, got back together shortly after, and then broke up one last time a few months after that.

Brad Womack and Emily Maynard

Brad Womack’s season aired back in 2011, and in the season’s span, the couple gave their relationship two chances, both of which didn’t work out. The couple broke up while the season was airing, only to get back together before the live finale, and then broke up again. Hey, at least they tried.

Travis Lane Stork and Sarah Stone

Typically, The Bachelor ends with a proposal, but not with Travis Lane Stork’s season! Instead of proposing to Sarah Stone at the end of his season, the pair continued to date. However, the relationship was short-lived, and they admitted to having broken up between the filming and the actual airing of the show.
