What’s the first thing that pops into your head when you think of October? Most people will answer Halloween. There are cozy sweaters, fireplaces, hot chocolate, and pumpkin spice treats. For nearly 17 million cancer survivors and the millions of friends and family, October is Cancer Awareness Month.

While Victoria’s Secret had its share of issues primarily coming from the CEO’s mouth (he has since stepped down), it does its share of good when it comes to contributing to cancer research. Victoria’s Secret teamed up with Pelotonia to raise more than $62 million in the last 11 years. The angels cycled explicitly with Flywheel on September 18th, with 100% of the proceeds and 100% match by L Brands donated to The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC).

“I have a few friends that have cancer right now so I’m riding for them and I’m so happy to support Pelotonia, The James & the fight to end cancer,” said Angel Josephine Skriver, who cycled alongside her fellow models.

Pelotonia raised more than $200 million for cancer research since its inception. Over 7,000 cyclists participate in its signature 3-day Pelotonia ride each year, taking place in Columbus, Ohio. Not surprisingly, that’s Victoria’s Secret headquarters. To donate to the cause, click here.
